Letter to existing employees explaining legal change to contracts

Description

This model letter is for use to explain the change in law on the provision of contracts of employment (statements of main terms). From 6 April 2020, statements of main terms must include additional information. Existing employees do not have an automatic right to be given a new statement but if they request one, or if there is a change to one of the terms that would have been included, had they receive the additional information, they must receive a statement including all of the new information within a month of the request.
